Fear
(MD. TAHA ALAM)
PART I It was raining heavily and as I made my way towards the shattered heap of what was left of once a beautiful building, I felt a chill run down my spine .my footsteps made a ghostly noise as they ran along with the pattering rain .as I was running I realized that the old building was a neighbour to the cemetery .all was dark by now and I could barely make out my hand.finally I made it up to the ?shadows? of the pile .the air around me seemed moist and thick and had a funny smell of alcohol mixed with ink.I reached up to the gates of the old building. A torso-less figure grabbed at me ??PART IIMY imagination was deceiving me. Surely this was a normal house with normal ?people ? living in it. I reached my hand out and knocked? No response. I knocked again. No response. Then suddenly the door gave away?????PART IIII peeped inside. Inside was a beautifully lit room. Artistic taste filled the room. Medieval pictures hung beautifully on the walls. On tiny slabs of marble, were placed dimly lit candles, which flickered, in the distance. Many doors, lots of them inhibited the glory of the room, which personified its beauty. My sixth sense told me that something about this place was wrong, terribly wrong????????.PART IV But why? This was a beautiful place only a bit dark and gloomy. In the middle of the hall stretched out a long table probably made of a sort of a green marble. Just then I heard a noise, a hiss .it could not be??no?..PART VNo it was not. It was just the rain and the darkness that was playing with my nerve. Just then I had a sudden urge to pull open one of the wooden doors. Something told me not to. But? I just had to???PART VII reached closer, stumbling now and then on the ever-slippery floor. I was freaking out. As I was nearing one of the doors someone grabbed at my legs?PARTVII had slipped. I stood up again and inched closer .on the door was engraved a picture of a snake, a terrifying snake. It looked so real, almost as if it were alive???.PART VIII reached for the wooden handle that formed a barrier between the me and the future and made its mark on the ever creaking door of doom. The door creaked loudly and bolted in a direction opposite to me. PART VIIII crawled inside. Darkness enlightened the room to its ultimate limits. In one corner stood an old shelf carved by patience. On it stood some old gadjets, only, I could not make out what sort of gadgets were they. And then I saw it?PART IXI saw a pair of bright violet-yellow eyes gleaming with wickedness, glaring at me.PART XThe next thing that happened was that I was dead??????????..
