Interview With A Vampire

200 year old Vampire Louis hires a reporter to record his life as an immortal, destined to roam the world like a shadow, eternally trying to quench his thrist and grasping onto any part of him the remains human. He begins to tell of a time when he was mortal, grieving for the death of his brother. At the point of despair and wishing for death Lestat found him and lured him into becoming his immortal companion. Louis soon begins to regret his decision and ends up despising Lestat for bringing him into this damnation. As an attempt to reconcile Lestat brings him a gift of a companion. A young child, Claudia. Together they bring her into their immortal world as a vampiric family, but this soon turns foul when Claudia begins to realise that she will never have the body of a woman. Something that all little girls aspire to be, she will never have. Bitter with resentment for Lestat she kills him with scissors slashed across his throat and together with Louis buries him in a swamp. Though they hated him they mourned his death, but maybe a bit too soon. He returns with a new companion, a young pianist, but he does not last long as he perishes in the fire that Louis and Claudia start and thus finally diposing of their Vampiric father Lestat. Now Lestat was gone, they moved to the modern city of New Orleans and one evening at the Louis finally finds what he had been searching for all these years, answers. A mysterious character approaches him in the streets and tells him of 'the Theatre of the Vampires'. Louis takes Claudia to watch the show, Vampires pretending to be humans pretending to be vampires. Armand their leader introduces himself as the oldest living vampire. He desires Louis, to be his companion. Claudia warns Louis of Armand's plight to steal him from her, but Louis does not listen. Then one night the theatrical vampires break in and take Louis and Claudia to the theatre. Louis is bricked up in a wall while Claudia suffers her fate in the pit where there is no shield from the sun, and perishes. Armand releases Louis and tells him it is too late for Claudia. Louis goes to her to see only a pile of dust in the form of a small child which is almost instantly blow away in the breeze. Armand thinks that now Louis is free to be his companion, but Louis declines the offer and roams the world alone. Until 200 years later when after being interviewed by a reporter on his life's story, he stumbles on an old house with the stench of death. Following a trail of rats into the house, Louis discovers that an old companion still clutches to immortality.
