Romeo And Juliet
(William Shakespear)

The 2 chief families in Verona were the Capulets and the Montagues. An old quarrel between these 2 families had grown to a great height.
Once old Lord Capulet gave a great feast. It was dangerous for a Montague to present at the feast but Romeo was persuaded to go there in a mask by his friend, Benvolio. Romeo was the son of the old Lord Montague. He falled in love with Rosaline but she never returned his love. So, Benvolio wished to cure Romeo?s hopeless love by showing him other ladies. At the feast, Romeo was suddenly struck by the great beauty of a young lady. She was Juliet, daughter and heir of the Lord Capulet, the great enemy of the Montagues.
Tybalt, a nephew of Lord Capulet, recognized Romeo. He couldn?t bear that a Montague should present here. He took out his sword ready to strike young Romeo dead but the old lord Capulet forced him to be quiet.
After the dancing, Romeo had a pleasant talk with Juliet. Nothing could prevent him from loving her. Juliet, too. At midnight, he climbed over a wall at the back of Juliet?s house. He hadn?t been there long, Juliet appeared above at the window. She talked of love with herself (as she thought she was alone), reproaching Romeo for being a Montague, wishing that he had some other name, so that he could be hers. Romeo, having this encouragment, could no longer prevent himself from speaking. They had a wonderful loving meeting. At last, they parted, wishing each other sweet sleep because her nurse called her to go to bed.
The day was breaking, Romeo went to a monastery to find Fiar Lawrence, asking for helping their marriage. The good Friar thought that a marriage between Romeo and Juliet might happily put an end to the long quarrel between Capulets and Montagues as he was a friend of both the families. The old man agreed to join their hands in marriage. After the marriage ceremony, on the way coming home, Romeo passed by the quarrel between Mercutio, his friend and Tybalt. He was involved in the quarrel. He and Benvolio tried unsuccessfully to separate them. After Tybalt had kill Mercutio, Romeo kept his temper no longer. He fought with Tybalt till Tybalt was kiiled by him.
Soon afterwards, the Prince of Verona arrived to judge Romeo. The Prince, after a carefully consideration, announced that Romeo must leave Verona and never return to the city.
After the fight, Romeo had taken shelter in Friar Lawrence ?s cell. The Friar advised him to go to Mantua that night until the Friar found a suitable time to publish Romeo?s marriager. The friar was sure that the Prinve would fogive and let Romeo return. Romeo passed that night with his dear wife. Soon, the light of day in the East showed that it was time for these lovers to part.
Not long after, the old Lord capulet proposed a marriage for Juliet. The man he had chosen for her was Count Paris. She gave every reason she could think of against the marriage, except the true one that she was married already. The old Lord Capulet was deaf to all her excuses and sharply ordered her to get ready to marry Paris next Thursday. Juliet now went to the Friar for advice. The Friar told her to go home and say that she was willing to marry Paris merrily. The night before the marriage, she had to drink a dangerous liquid he gave. After swallowing that liquid, she would appear cold and lifeless within 24 hours. Then everyone would think she was dead and carried her to family tomb. She would be sure to awake at after 24 hours swallowing the liquid. The friar would let Romeo know what they had done and Romeo would come in the night, taking her to Mantua. Juliet came home with the liquid and do as the Friar told.
Bed news always travel fastrer than good news. Romeo, in Mantua, heard the sad story of his juliet ?s death before the Friar?s messenger could arrive to tell him the truth. He returned Verona with a poison bought from a poor man. At midnight, he found the tomb of the Capulets in the churchyard, trying to break the door. He was interruptedd by the young Count Paris, who had come to the tomb to spread flowers and to weep over the grave of the lady who should have been his wife. Then, they had a fight and paris was killed. After saying his last farewell to Juliet and kissing her lips, Romeo swallowed the poison. Juliet woke out of her long sleep, saw the cup in Romeo?s hand. She guessed that the poison had been the cause of his death. Then, hearing the noise of people coming nearer, she quickly drew out a dagger which she wore and striking herself. She died by her Romeo? side.
The whole story was cleared by the Friar, the page of Paris and the letter of Romeo sending to his father. Thus, when it was too late, these two noble families were united. The hate and jealousy between them had been so fierce the nothing but the death of their children could stop.
