Resumo de Dune Chapterhouse

Some years have elapsed since Dune (Arrakis) was destroyed by the Honoured Matres and during this time Darwi Odrade has established her power as the new mother superior of the Bene Gesserit being responsible for the Sisterhood survival against the violence of the Matres that are set on destructing the final shreds of the Galactic Empire. In order to prevent the total annihilation of the Sisterhood, Odrade elaborates a risky plan that will take some years to be put into action; on the meanwhile she prepares the Bene Gesserit to confront the Honoured Matres. To ensure the exit of her plan she revives her father Miles Teg as a ghola, the first ghola created by the Bene Gesserit who have learned the technology of the axlot tanks thanks to Syctale the last Bene Tleilax Master. She also tries to win Duncan Idaho and Murbella help by converting this last into a Bene Gesserit but Duncan resents the Bene Gesserit for many reasons and does not totally trust them, especially because he has recovered his previous lives memories and now is a Mentat. Sheeana, on her part, is now one of the youngest reverent mothers, not taking into account the pre-born. She has been retired to the growing dessert of Chapterhouse where the Bene Gesserit can control her in a way. As shepherd of the worms, she is to be used by the Bene Gesserit to create a new religion that will control every single group in the galaxy but Sheeana has ideas on her own and does no totally accept this role.
During the years that elapse since the birth of Miles Teg till his maturity, more and more Bene Gesserit planets are attacked and destroyed, being Lampadas one of the biggest. Fortunately, Lucilla, the young Imprinter of Heretics of Dune survives the planet's destruction bringing with her Lampada's Reverent mothers memories. Due to an accident with a mine, Lucilla is forced to land in Gammu and hide herself within the Jew community. To save his organization from the Honoured Matres, the Rabbi must deliver Lucilla to them but before doing so he reveals Rebecca, a wild Reverent Mother, with whom Lucilla shares her memories. She lives with the Honoured Matres during many weeks interchanging information with them but she is finally killed when she explains the Honoured Matres chief Dama that Bene Gesserit are a democratic organization. Rebecca, on her part, does everything on her power to rejoin the Bene Gesserit in Chapterhouse and share the information she gained from Lucilla.
As Odrade?s plan reaches fruition, she finds unexpected help in the form of Dortjula, the head of the Sisterhood in Buzzel and a woman with many skills that was exiled by the Sisterhood for showing emotions. Together with Dortjula and some other Bene Gesserit, Odrade creates a set up for the Honoured Matres in the form of a rendition in Junction, the old Spacing Guild complex. She decides to win Duncan Idaho?s trust by entrusting him with Teg's training and reawakening. Finally, she tours Chapterhouse in order to decide whether Sheeana must be promoted and to design her successor should she die during the set up. After having shared with Sheeana and Murbella, Odrade goes to Junction accompanied by Tamalane, Dortjula and Suipol and acolyte that is nearing the Agony (process through which a Bene Gesserit regains her past memories).In Junction, Odrade is surprised by the Honoured Matres attitude as Dama wants negotiate, something she did not expect at all. Soon, she learns that Dama does have a reasonable negotiation in mind but things change when suddenly Logno, Dama's assistant, kills Dama and surrenders herself to the Bene Gesserit. Meanwhile, Teg following his mother?s instructions attacks and destructs part of the Honoured Matres army making them flee. As he lands in Junction to inform Odrade, the two are captured and Honoured Matres launch ?The Weapon? that decimates Bene Gesserit army. In a desperate last gamble, Murbella reaches Junction alone and manages to kill Logno thus converting herselfthe new Great Honoured Matre but Odrade is also killed in the battle and she converts herself in the Bene Gesserit Mother Superior. When she finally manages to convince some Honoured Matres to follow her to Chapterhouse, Sheeana, some rebel Reverent Mother, Duncan Idaho, Syctale and Miles Teg escape with the no-ship
