Faced with the difficult situation of present times, one of the greatest problems of parents is their children's failure in school. What happens and can help in these cases? As a first measure, one should evaluate the situation and interact with specialists, bearing in mind that each child is a unique being who cannot be duplicated. If the failure is caused by a slight learning difficulty, it is easy to detect and to deal with. The student's personality, family situation, and social level are studied to develop a strategic plan of solutions. With serious difficulties, other reasons intervene that can occur because of a shortcoming in the child's evolutional development. In these cases, one should go for help from a mental health specialist. There are multiple factors which can lead to failure in school whether they be physiological, sociocultural, or pedagogical. Educational institutions do their utmost to detect the types of problems and design strategies to be followed that will be put into practice, together with the parents, in order to reverse the different stuations. Considering that the primary teaching agents are the parents, they should encourage their children, thereby creating confidence in them, and learn to accept their imperfections. The best reward a child can receive is to feel him- or herself esteemed and loved in the environment within which he or she interacts. In order to get each child to have success in school, it is necessary for him or her to have a place to study with adequate furniture, clean air and sufficient lighting, and where there is neatness and order with regard to the materials that he or she utilizes. In addition, it is important to bear in mind that one should instil in him or her the need for good personal hygiene and good management of one's time to sleep. All that mentioned above should be accompanied by an adequate diet. Every child should be taught confidence from an early age by their elders so that they can develop their own potential. They should learn how to reward themselves so that each day they will be able to give themselves a "shot of energy" that will give them sufficient strength to improve and excel. Not all parents have a basic educational guide, but they might consider that by offering themselves as an example, using consistency, accepting their children with unconditional support, and by being firm without being harsh, we will succeed in developing children who are sure of themselves and who will succeed in the days to come by being consistent, responsible, and just.
