Her Serene Highness Princess Liliane of Grunberg, i.e. Lili, makes her first appearance as the Royal Family Representative in Blue Cloud, a small American town. Blue Cloud takes great pride in being the birthplace of Lili's grandmother, Princess Adelaide. As a college student fifty years ago, Adelaide had toured the palace of Grunberg with some of her classmates. During the tour, Prince Rudolf had spotted the young farm girl and knew it was love at first sight. He quickly convinced her to marry him. As a result, Blue Cloud now boasts a museum in her honor.
At the tender age of 22, Lili is the youngest member of the royal family. Accompanied by her former nanny, Amelia Grundy, and a bodyguard, Lili is scheduled to make an appearance at the exhibit of the Royal Family Jewels. However, Lili's main focus it to score peanut butter and hot dogs, all while trying to loose her bodyguard and her virginity.
Lili befriends a band of traveling gypsies who have a mysterious connection to her family. While Lili?s dancing with the gypsies, the museum?s curator, Simon Tremayne, is called upon to fetch the princess. What started out as an annoying duty turns into a full time job as he rescues Lili from a series of minor incidents that always seem to follow the Princess, including the attempted theft of the Brunner Bridal Tiara. Between inhaling a bee, freeing a pickpocket suspect, and running off on a date with a questionable playboy, Lili doesn't leave Simon much time to sleep. Things begin to heat up when Lili decides that Simon will be the one to help her loose that annoying virginity.
What Lili doesn?t know is that Mrs. Grundy is really her Fairy God Mother. With her on Lili's side, Simon doesn't have a chance.
