Life
(Clifton Hamilton)
Life what is it. What is the reasoning behind it? Why do some achieve great heights and others fail to grasp even a little reality. While the majority of humane creation wonders aimlessly thru it all with a mediocre existence. This question has been pondered upon for years, centuries. Since the beginning of time man has struggled to find what relevance there is to his existence. There have been countless books and numerous individuals that lay claim to posses a greater understanding of life. Yet for the majority of people they walk through Life with no real revelation as to what purpose they live for or why they are here. They go on to eventually pass never really having a full understanding of the purpose of life. This brings me to my reasoning of life. I have no special talent. I have no formal training, nor do I claim to posses any special powers beyond those of a mortal man. However, I have lived thirty-seven years and have face trials and experienced great joy. That is the extent of my qualifications to determine what this crazy life is all about. To begin our search we must examine the life cycle in general. We are born into this world with nothing no possessions and very little ability to communicate with anyone. Our whole existence is dependent on someone else providing the bare necessities of life just to sustain us. God willing we grow and we learn, we begin to communicate with other humane beings. We obtain a status in life. Then we move to the finale stage of our life, the death. For when we are born this is the only guarantee that we are given. Just as we entered this world with nothing so shall we depart. Sure there may be a great send off or for some they just fade to black. All of the material things we have obtained shall be divided and over time shall return to dust, as did we. Often man struggles in life to obtain things that shall far outlast him. With this being said, then we must examine what remains when we depart. We already know that the body decays and our possessions change hands or they rot. Therefore, we must rely on those we left behind to determine what our existence meant on earth. Sure, those who were left with much material possessions will be kind to us as long as that material item last. Although, this may not be the true feeling of the individual but the euphoria left over from the abundance placed in trust to them. No, this cannot be the answer. The answer lies in those that one has touched during a lifetime. The actual humane kindness one displays to fellow man. To put this to the test just look around at those who have passed. Tell me one great thing about John D. Rockefeller. Of course, He amassed a great deal of wealth. Search and see if you can locate anything about the lives he may have touched. For another example examine Mother Theresa. There are countless tales of the lives she has touched. Yet when we look what legacy they left behind there is no comparison. Further examination would reveal that the second after their death both possessed the same exact material possessions, nothing. Therefore one can only deduce that the meaning of life is humane contact. We were put on this earth to interact with other humans and in some way touch another life. If after reading this brief summary of life you still are confused, well then put into play what you have read. Touch another's life do something for someone with no expectation of a return and see. For, if you do this and do not have some sense of living then seek immediate medical attention you may already be dead.
