Mystical Kaballah
(Dion Fortune)
Dion Fortune excellent introduction to the 'mystical' Kaballah remains a must have for an with a serious interest in occultism. She follws a systematic approach leading the reading through conceptual understanding of the central glyph ie The Tree of Life then returning to this central priciple explores the many layered correspondence of the the 'paths' 'sephiroth' and the four worlds. Without doubt this book is worthy of shelf space for the exploration of the divine process of emanation alone. For a book of its age the language remains readilly accessible and does not rely upon fore knowledge of the subject. A variety of techniques including physical experiments to illustrate concepts difficult to grasp intellectual again makes this text fairly uniquie. The information contained largely comes from direct experience of the author with the hermetic principles of the Golden Dawn Tradition whom she acknowledges from the start. This in term insure that the reader is access information as closer to the original mystical source as is possible. One of the books many recommendation includes a detailled bibliography from which the eager aspirant can gain guidance. However this also illustrates the books only reall flaw namely the lack of any practical trainning instruction on the practical aspect of Kaballistic magic. Dions own escuse interestingly enought comes from her initiatory oath!! many other books are written on the Kabballah this remains one of the orginal and best and is not in anyway drawing upon the modern reborn interest in Judaic Kaballah an altogether different experience. Buy this book if you seek a sound introduction to a highly complex system of spiritual evolution, to gain the maximum benefits it should be read alongside '777' by A Crowley and 'A Garden of Pomegranits' by I Regardie. The material found within these three texts will help you truly 'know Thy Self' and begin the ultimate adventure which may take many lifetimes.
