Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince by J.K Rowling is a unique way to explain to children of todays society about the evil within the world and coming together in times of need and suffering. Today's world has been filled with war, terror, uncertainity, and even bits of insanity. We as adults have seen our cherished world slowly becoming demolished by all of these treacherous events, but our children are innocent and do not always understand what is going on, all they realize is that something is not right in their world. This book and the other Harry Potter books have allowed children to experience and begin to understand Harry's world and society and it has helped ease them into their own world of mistrust and deceit. They are able to understand a balance that we as parents have tried to teach them. With that understanding they have hopefully come to the conclusion to make changes that would benefit our world instead of ignoring the problems that we as young children did not always understand.Throughout the book, we see heros emerge and loved ones we all cherished and liked become the one thing that we have been scared of,but we also have witnessed acts of bravery and understanding settling in on situations that may not have been clear to us untill now. Rowling does an excellent job of making us want to sympathize with the enemy but making it clear that these are choices of free will and those choices were not always the best to be made. Much like Harry's world, our world is also out of balance and needs a new dose of fresh blood to hopefully right our past wrongs.
