Civil Disobedience is exactly what it states. It is choosing to take a stand on Civil issues that have been demanded by an unjust government. Every member of society is obligated to do what he or she believe is right and moral. When citizens vote, the process automatically allows the majority to rule; but the majority ruling does not decide what is right or wrong, only issues merely applicable to their conscience. Whether you, average citizen, is a member of the majority or minority, it is still your obligation to expect and demand your government to act for truth in a moral and righteous manner. You should not give up your conscience to the government because it is ruled by the majority, but seek the kind of government that you can support. Men and women have marched off to fight on just a hint of the obligation that he or she feels as a citizen. By doing so, they become tools of the government. If that government becomes ineffective, it is your duty as a citizen to remove that government. If you know that a problem or an issue is present and choose to do nothing about it or wait for the majority to take care of it, then you have not chosen to do your personal duty. Voting is a weak attempt to allow the majority to decde society's fate. If you perceive that a wrong has been done, should you be satisfied and do nothing or act? It is our moral duty to act. If you believe that some injustices are necessary for the government to work or run, it is still your duty as a citizen to not allow it to go unchecked. Although it may not be possible or necessary to take on every cause, every problem, or very injustice; it is possible to take on some. Citizens who expect and fight for their rights become problematic to the goverment who rules unjustly. The price you may have to pay for your civil disobedience isn't as high as they price you would pay to dishonor your own moral code. An unjust government can only imprison the body, but never the mind. The mind, if you allow it, can take any situation, including imprisonment, and turn it into a positive if not pleasant experience. Do not allow the government to use imprisonment as a deterrent to civil disobedience. The body, if imprsoned, is only imprisoned for a time, but the mind can be free for eternity. It is the duty of every citizen to satisfy his moral rights and decisions for truth. The power that is given the government is only as much as each individual gives it. You have the right and the duty to not allow that power to go unchecked by your civil disobedience.
