All animals are created equal. By everyone working together, those on Manor Farm run by Mr. Jones, soon realized that if they all worked together, they could overthrow Jones and claim Manor Farm for themselves. Then one day, that's exactly what they did. From the teachings of the oldest wisest white boar on all the farm, Major, two pigs stepped forward at first to facilitate the operation of Animal Farm. These two, Snowball and Napoleon, were quite different in all facets of managment. Snowball being involved and Napoleon only wanting to rule they disagreed often of how things should be run. There is a host of characters that to this day one can relate to almost any current political situation, Squealer, Napoleon's right hand man, Snowball, the Man of the people, Mollie, the majestic movie-star like Mare, Boxer the dedicated work horse. At first the farm is quite efficient in operation, everyone working for the betterment of the community and seeing the benefits of all. Soon Snowballs gift of invention and popularity breed jealousy in Napoleon as he schemes on how to get power for good and expell Snowball from Animal Farm. With this sucessfully done, Napoleon puts snowballs ideas to use, and the laws of the land to rest as the pigs began to inhabit Mr. Jones home and take on a more "administrative" role in the operation of the Farm. Progressively the pigs turn the table so that the collective work is benifiting the pigs and not the entire community. The crops began to fall to the wayside, and the pigs begin to socialize with the enemy, humans. At the end, the pigs are sleeping in the bed of humans, drinking alcohol, and trading with the enemy and living comfortably within the farm house, which goes to show you, All animals are created equal, some are more equal than others.
