Harry Potter And The Half-blood Prince
(J.K. Rpwling)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, by J.K. Rowling, is not actually out in stores for several more days, but thanks to my uncle, I got a copy a couple weeks ago and can give you all the run down on the plot. I will try to give you all a teaser without actually giving away all of the plot before you read it (otherwise, what would be the point?). The story, as always, takes place in England, with about a third of the action taking place outside of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (part at the home of the Weasleys and part at Harry?s aunt and uncle?s house). To get you interested: somebody dies, but of course, it is not Harry. This person may have red hair and may or may not be in love with that saucy vixen, Hermione. Hermione is shown up as the brightest student at Hogwarts when a student transfers from a Wizard school in Austria ? she does not handle it well and you will all get to see some of the wizard dueling that has been mentioned in the previous books. She kicks ass (no surprise there) and takes names. I shouldn?t tell you who the Half-Blood Prince is but I can tell you that he has already shown up many times in the Harry Potter novels and his identity will not really be much of a surprise to anyone who pays enough attention to the plot. This is probably the second best of the Harry Potter series (after The Prisoner of Azkaban but waaay in front of The Order of the Phoenix, which was way too long and drawn out at the beginning). It is also the longest, following Ms. Rowling?s trend of lengthening each one in order to make it more and more difficult to condense into a movie.
