A Perfect Day
(Richard Paul Evans)

Publicidade
A Perfect Day By Evans, Richard PaulRobert Harlan has three great loves in his life- his devoted wife Allyson, his daughter Carson and the book he has been working on for years. When Robert is fired rather suddenly from a job he wasn't too fond of anyway, his wife encourages him to work full time on his novel and then attempt to get it published. He couldn't be happier to do so. Robert's book, titled, "A Perfect Day" is about the last day his wife spent with her father before he told her that he was dying of cancer. Robert recalled that day vividly and wanted to capture it on paper. So he did. In the ensuing months, Robert toils away, hour after hour, day after day, until he has a polished manuscript that satisfied him. With hope in his heart, Robert starts to send his manuscript away to a number of agents. After receiving a fair share of rejections Robert finally finds an agent willing to take him on, and his career as a published author takes off.But Robert is not prepared for what success will do to his personal life. One book tour leads to another and before long Robert is away from home all of the time. And he is no longer the person he once was. He knows it and so do his wife and child. Soon Robert begins to feel out of touch with his beloved family. His relationship with Allyson becomes strained and his daughter is feeling the tension of his constant absences. Robert begins to question his writing success as well as his path in life. Where is his life headed and does he have any control over it anymore? When a stranger at a book signing issues an ominous warning to Robert he realizes that he must make a decision before he loses everything and everyone who is nearest and dearest to him. This stranger claims to be an angel who is privy to Robert's future and the future is looking very glum indeed. But are his days numbered? Read this at times heartwarming and at other times, heart wrenching novel and find out for yourself. The ending to the book is quite ingenious and is sure to leave you eager to read more of this author's work.
