The Daffodils
(William Wordsworth)
William Wordsworth, a nature poet once when wandering lonely near the lake sees a group of daffodils, fluttering and dancing by the side of the lake.He compares th daffodils that were shining in the sun tothe twinkling stars on the milky way.The poet says the flowers out did the dancing daffodils brought happiness to the poet. The very thought of the daffodils filled his heart with joy, when he thought about them in solitude. He was a lonely man who was aparted from his siblings snd wife due to the french war.And thus, his poems all are based on nature and shows he was very sad.In this poem the line "I wander'd lonely as a cloud" shows he was alone and sad.
