Vedavyasa,a great sage,dictated the Mahabharat to Ganesha,the elephant god.
Mahabharat is an pic,also containing the Bhagavad gita.It shows to the young and the old alike,
the path of righteousness,knowledge,justice and love.This is the story of thefive brothers called
the Pandavas.Here is about the eldest sibling-Yudhistira.
He is the most righteous person.Here is the conversation between Yudhishtira and a voice which
shows a person how to lead a life and what is the importance of life-
The voice-'Which has the fastest speed?"
Yudhishtira-"Speed of mind"
The voice-"What is superior to earth?"
Yudhishtira-"Mother"
The voice-"What gives happiness to man?"
Yudhishtira-"To give up anger"
The voice-"How can one be the richest?"
Yudhishtira-"By giving up desire"
The voice-"What causes man's destruction?"
Yudhishtira-"His haughtiness"
The voice-"What weapon do you need to face danger?"
Yudhishtira-"Bravery"
By following these things a person can be the most happiest one on this earth! ! !
