This amazing book ( a best seller in the ? 70th ) is combining a secondary, physique? concert plot ( riding all over, parts of the U.S upon motorcycles ), with ? intellectual monologues of the narrator, accompanied by ? " flesh backs ", wich are actually the essentials ( the monologues ) . The author is reflecting himself in a very complex manner ,through that variety of ? author , narrator , hero , and secondary hero .

The title of that book ? " Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance " - " testify most for it`s pie " ( not as percivied generaly speaking, by critics . but , I am falling short of ...for such debate ) . The author is choosing two components ? " zen " and ? " motorcycle " ( or rather it`s engine ) . It`s not in vain? since he argues ? the intellectual existence of the human being ? is sick !! He is putting it upon the surgeon board work , and operates and analyse that sickness ,with amazing talent , and here ahead -

The intellectual perception , is classified according to the author , to two genders ( shall I say ) ? " romantic" and ? " classic " .The first one ? the " romantic " one, derives out of ? intellectual laziness - emotionally motivated perception ? and yet - immediate and intuitive by it`s nature - always seeking for the superficial impression and satisfaction ,and so ? irritated by the ? " classic " gendre - means ?the perception needed for being attached to objects , wich are by nature - over loaded with analytical structures and further - more complicated with it`s substructures ,and in it`s turn - connected with endless deductions and reductions and so forth ... Precisely , like that layman who is trying in vain to find the lead for that fault in that god dam complicated engine, stuck in the highway ( or at first place irritated by the very idea of dealing with it at first place ).

So ? where is the sickness, the remedy , and zen at first place ?

Well ? fruitful and efficient pedagogy - are mainly the outcome of emotional capacity of one person , to connect himself ( emotionaly ) to the material. All that by creating also ? emotional by pass , predicted always in advance ( practice before theory paradoxically- as an example for emotional attachement , and , a simple break or shifting to measured act in a crisis moment- to over come psychological impass as another example ) . That is the " zen budha " at it`s best ?one of the fundamentals of that religion , suggest that - bridge between the subject ( means ? my self, my personal perception and emotions ) and the object in front of me ( means ? the object in objective terms as it is ? detached from my self individual perception and emotions ? means finaly ? " classic " v. " romantic " ) .

Highly recommended for every one who considers his existence as even somhow intellectual one , and surly- for those who are occupied with education and pedagogy. No doubt , preceded his era and ours as hell !! fictitious genius !!
