Silas marner is a classic old age story. it is a true masterpiece in describing morderen day society in its story. Silas marner clearly shows the signs of a odern day recluse. it shows how he reacts with his neighbours and no matter how poor they think he is he has a heart of gold. he is at the bottem of the social class yet it shows that he is more of a man then goderfy cass is when he takes in the orphened child. it shows that no matter how much money you have it doesnt neccessarily mean that you are a nice person. it shows in the end that money cannot buy you happeniss when the child decides to stay with silas despite being offered all the money she could want. she would prefer to stay with her low class family instead and be happy them stay with her biologycal father and have all the money in world yet be unhappy. it is truley a delightfull story of human nature and how kindess and honesty will get yoou further in life then money and being on the top of the social class.
