Write your abstract here. Pearing out the window into mother natures display of rain and wind thinking about my new found career in real estate, clancing at my second hand grease stained phone and bare office except for the second hand swivel chair and wooden desk thinking where do l start, two properties for sale no advertising no one knowing that the office existed yet. the two property pinned up on the large window which would eventually display fifty properties. I noticed a young man about thirtyon crutcheshobbling towards towards the shelter of the offices verandah. he clanced in at me and quickly directed his attention to the two posters in the window. Not knowing what the edicate of approaching somebody to sell them property, l thoughtto myselfone week ago l had no money to pay my electricity billl had a wife and a newbornand that if l sold a property l would receive a substancial commission. caution to the wind l left my seat and and headed to the door. the young mannoticed me coming and looked like he was going to leave the shelter of the verandah to escape my advance but the rain and wind held him there (thankyou mother nature). Goodmorning can l help you? a look of surprise and then "l'm only looking" I said not much to look at because this was my first day and there was only those two properties. Another strang glance then he said "l'm looking for small acres with acreek or dam". One of the properties in the window was 17 acres with a small creek running through the middle which l told him didn't run all year. driving along the rd in the pouring rain in my 1971 ford which had seen a hard life dodging the larger puddles because of the hole in the drivers side floor and no heater l had tomake conversation to distract my first client. he wasn't shore what he had found in me but he soon relaxed and we travelled 20 km to the property. On pulling up at the front gate mother nature performed again and opened herclouds to revealbright sunshine and a wonderful rainbow. Standing at the creeks edgea torrent of water streaming through the property the client stood there insilence. l'v always beleived that selling is like music the silent spacesletyou feel the emotion. after a couple of minutes he said, lcame today to look at everything go home and decide later whether l want tomake the change to my life in the city. I said l grew up in the city and that l wouldn't go back. On the drive home he was very quiet on pulling up at the office heasked how much? l told him the price and he said he would buy. My first sale l was excited, on the way homel ran out of petrol and l had no money because l wasn't being paid till next week but l was happy. Walking through the door of home wet through with a big smile on my face l said to my wife l'v sold my first property and did she have any money because l'd ran out of petrol.
