Notes Of A Madman

Sorrow seems to have a depth which is not found in happiness. We are more prone to be aware during darker periods of our life. Sorrow provides us with an opportunity to face our real self, to crystallize ourselves. We need to accept the things as they are and in that acceptance lies the key to calmness. Suffering is nothing but the refusal to accept the things as they are. To start with, we have to accept our inner urges and instincts. We have to accept our anger, our jealousy, our judgements and whole inner jargon. This leads to a harmony within ourselves and thus with the whole world because what is inside is reflected outside. Anxiety, depression, dullness etc. are diseases of the modern man and in acceptance lies the cure. This feeling of being a doer leads to a stressful thinking, the doer disappears the moment we accept the things in their totality. The most tricky part is to transcend this feeling of being a doer. This needs deep understanding and sharp awareness. An awareness which is not static, which keeps on renewing itself with each moment. Mind loves to verbalize the things, and in that verbalization, awareness is lost. We have to wait for the things to happen and enjoy this wait, which will make us passively aware. Any conscious effort on our part is not going to be of any use. If we will wait with impatience or expect something, that means we have lost the whole point. The point is to enjoy the wait.
