'Os Filhos da Droga' is the picture of the modern society, a dark world made of cement, where the vices and the drug are introduced as an alternative to loneliness and sadness. It describes the drama of Christiane, a six years old girl living with her parents in a village. Various circumstances lead this family's destiny to Berlin, the great city that ends up marking major alterations in Christiane's life. Little by little, this child's happiness starts to fall apart, her parents get divorced, her mother gets to be her guardian but her life will never be the same again. The pain and sadiness become part of this kid's day-by-day. Christiane meets the wrong people and, on good faith, trusts them, curiosity drags het to the dark and cold world of the drugs. She starts consuming light drugs (hashishe and LSD) followed by heroine. At the age of 13 with her 17 year old boyfriend is a forcedwoman,prostitution and robbery are her ways to survive. Having money to another dose is her life objective, life wich is mediocre and insignificant. Followed by her prison, the suffering of a mother e the attempts of recovery. This composition is about the decay of the human being, the lack of guidance for the teenagers, the relation difficulties between adults and teenagers, the easy access to drugs, the misery and love, also. Higghly descriptive, 'Os Filhos da Droga' is the bare portrait of a devastating world: the world of drugs!
