50th birthday work partyYou?re 50 today Barry, we?ve a poem for youYou?re our belly dancing colleague - table football king tooHalf marathon runner, even egg and spoon raceTai Chi, Tug of war, always a smile on your faceYou always stay positive and forever on a highEven when as a lad you were blinded in one eyeWe hope you like teasing - we have a story to tellYou were in the middle of a match, looking good, looking swell?The game was then halted and then you got the blameFor your eye had popped out in the middle of the game!The players dumbfounded, the match was a farceFor they were searching for your eye, on all fours, in the grass!Sporty student you were, such a ?man about town?In your old white Capri that always broke downIt would never go fast, and it would never get far You even managed to ruin the Institute pool car You?ve been very ill - over the past few yearsBut you are out of the woods and you?ve conquered your fearsYou are strong, you are brave - we want to shout it out loudFrom all your friends and Renate, we are all very proud A milestone is here ? you?ve reached the five zero!Barry, you?re the best, you?re the Institutes hero
