Resumo de Generationany The Monthly Rant (july 2006)

Hello dear reader, and welcome....

All three headings of this months rant and the similar points therein were, believe it or not, culled from a single, simple- yet insightful source. A comic strip. Yes, that's right, a comic strip....
That strip is the Oct. installment of "Candorville", by one Darren Bell.
-Politics:

One of the main tenents ofa democratic society- especially an American Society- is the seperation of church and state. Or, at least that's what all the government courses in high school and or college would have you believe, right?
Well, in "Candorville's" Oct. 4 installment this touchy subject was touched on when a minister is accused of backing a political candidate and told his churches 'tax exempt' status is going to be pulled because of its political endosement.
This bit of humorous insight started the writer thinking of a way where, for possibly the first time ever, both the government and organized religion could be brought together for the benefit of all. Now, stay with me here folks, as I move from the political to the Religious heading of this months rant in order to finish my thought....

-Religion:

That point being this. Since George W. claims, and many right wing christians claim as well, that he was 'chosen', by their right wing christian 'god', to fight terrorist threats and conduct "Useless Wars", in order to win the world for the 'one true god',- again, the christian god- then why the hell aren't all the conservative christian churches, and their numbers seem to be increasing by the day, being taxed- heavily taxed- in order to pay for the war which only they seem to support?...
I'll bet that if this were done, the war debt, hell the national debt, would be paid in full, within a year.
But, as I'm sure you've already concluded, the above idea is only a pipe-dream. Because, if nothing else, organized religion likes its money!....

I'm going to skip Julys Society section, dear reader. I believe that American Society has already been affected enough by the 'seperation of church and state', as it is, don't you....
