Wonderful magical book - Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince opens in a darker setting. Story opens with the muggle minister being warned that Lord Voldemort is back in power. Severus Snape makes an Unbreakable Vow to Draco Malfoy's mother Narcissa, with Bellatrix Lestrange, Narcissa's sister, as a witness, that he will protect Draco and aid him in his mission, although the details of his mission are unknown at this point. Harry suspects that Draco has become a Death Eater. Harry finds he is given more attention, particulary from teenage firls, , but the only girl he has any real interest in is Ron's younger sister Ginny Weasley. The story contains increased interaction between Dumbledore and Harry. In a series of private lessons, Dumbledore uses his Pensieve to show Harry a number of memories throwing light on Voldemort's past. Dumbledore theorises that Voldemort has split his own soul into seven parts, storing six of the pieces in Horcruxes to grant himself immortality as long as they exist, and leaving the seventh piece in his own body. At the end, Snape assasinates Dumbledore with the Avada Kedavra killing curse and Harry shows great emotional development, particularly in the field of personal relationships. Harry has matured so much that he feels ready to take on his burden of destroying Voldemort.
