Michael Connelly keeps it moving in ' The Lincoln Lawyer'. It is fast paced but not too racy. It has moments when you assume ' Wow! This guy is a scum bag!' It starts out with this guy mickey. A sleazy lawyer with two ex-wives and four Lincoln Town cars that doubleas his offices. His passion is money and in the beginning that is all that drives this guy to function. His first ex-wife is a DA who takes every chance she can get to bust his balls. His second ex, well she works for him and its really not a bad deal. Mickey finds himself in the middle of a murder and he is the prime suspect. Now he can't take the guy to the cops because he is on the line already with the ethics committee and they are just waiting for him to screw up so they can snatch his law licence away and leave him in the dust. Mickey is between a rock and a hard place being as his client confesses to killing as he is being tried for attempted rape and assault. What Mickey thought of as a big pay day turn into a big heap of crap and Mick doesn't have a shovel. This is where his two exes come in to no doubt rescue his sorry butt again. With everything he has to deal with you wonder why this guy doesn't quit law and become something more honest like a used car salesman! Mickey turns the tables on his crooked client and gets a really big surprise as in looks can be deceiving. He also learns what true innocence looks like and realizes that you can't always take the easy way out.And when his clients own mother tries to take him out everything becomes all to clear but, is it to late? Can Mick figure out how to fix it all with out losing it all.This is a really exciting book for the lovers of the law and the abusers of it.
I think it should be a movie.
