Sociology of work and activity is one work coordinated by Alexandra Bidet, with the collaboration of Anni Borzeix, Thierry Pillon, Gwenaële Belch and François Vatin (Octarès, collection ?work in debates?, July 2006, 254pages.Actes, actions, activities, operations: this collective work has tried to determine these new categories of analysis of work developed for a few years in many work of social sciences. New questions are thus tackled: those in particular of the language, the technicality and the uses of oneself with work - bodies, spaces, objects, equipment, NTIC.The various contributions lead the reader of the production of a film of author to the chains of German automobile factories, bailiffs to the air traffic controllers, by crossing many other workers , men and women, frameworks of the banking environment, consultants in economic expertise, inputters, electrical engineers and data processing specialists, heads of department of the great distribution, data-processing break-down mechanics, traders, employed hospital, managers of the collective restoration, etc. Those works are organized in four sections, corresponding to various registers of creativity and working work: body and technicality in the action; to carry out a product, turnings of a concrete achievement; subjective engagement in the activity, anthropological requirement; the work of organization in acts.Il finds its origin in the meetings held by the participants of the network set of themes ?Sociology of work and activity? of the French Association of sociology.
