The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy
(Douglas Adams)

Publicidade
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy can tell you all about the universe - what is it, how big it is, how to travel in it and where to find some good food (in the restaurant at the end of the universe, of course). Arthur Dent finds himself depended on this book to survive, after he has been saved by his friend Ford Prefect from Earth - it was demolished to make way for a hyperspace bypass. Arthur hitchikes around the galaxy together with his non-Earthly friend Ford Prefect, the former-president of the galaxy Zaphod Beeblebrox and of course Trillian, the other last human alive. Arthur learns all about the universe and how to survive in it. Towels, of course, is the hitchhiker's most essential tool as well as the guide itself. But it isn't all fun and games because Arthur also learns that his planet Earth was not a planet at all - it was actually a computer designed to calculate the big question - the question of life, the universe and everything. The answer has been known for millions of years though - it is 42. And Arthur's mind has the question, and there are some beings that would do anything to get it out!Douglas Adams has a unique sense of humor, and this book shows it very well. If you'd like to view the universe from a different perspective for a change, grab "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"!
