The Power Of Intention
(Dr. Wayne Dyer)
Okay. You don't know where you're headed in life, andthe same old spiritual guidance you've been given before, just don't seem to add up to much.Maybe you're losing faith, becoming jaded, ordon't believe that you are really the noble and good person you've alwaystrusted yourself to be. That's the furthest from the truth, I say, and with a little relfection upon the inspiring words in Dr. Wayne Dyers book, "The Power of Intention",you may just get that direction you've been searching for, for so long. A week of two ago, I wasbrowsing through Borders at the mall, for a book that really had meaning for me. I picked up one called, "Write it down; make it happen", but as I was reading this one, questions were going off in my head, that I just couldn't shake. How does writing down my intentions, really attract what I want into my life? Will it work for me? Is someone else out there, who's gone through what I'm going through, now? This was a major concern, and as I was mulling this over, I happened to glance up and see an older man, smiling at me as if he could see me standing there with this book in my hand! Yet, this man was not physically in the store. He was was just a photo and above him were the provoking words that made up the title, "The Power of Intention". It seemed to sum up what I was looking for in just four small words. I picked it up, and I read the last chapter. It spoke on what someone's life, who lived the principles in this book, daily; what that person would be like, and it struck me in that moment, that this was the type of character I wanted to exibit, and the peace and serenity that I wanted to feel. I needed to realize my own potential divinity! These words rang truer than anything I had ever read before. I felt as if he understood my inner knowledge that there was some unseen force, not-completely understood, which I could tap into at will. No one I had ever talked to had been able to entertain this thought, before, and this had frustrated me and made me wonder if I just imagining it all. It seemed in these few paragraphs, that Dr. Dyer had captured the essence of what Ihonestly knew to be true, inside. After reading his book, cover to cover, I was hungry to see what else this enlightened man had written. I wanted to see if he went into any more detail or had anything else to say about the principle of abundance as opposed to the viewof scarcity. The Seven Faces of Intention; his way of summarizing the unseen laws that our universe played by, so monopolized my mind, that I found myself creating an anagram to describe in pictorial form what his Faces of Intention meant to me, personally. It's like a door opened up inside, that I did not know was shut, and a breeze blew by, causing me to wake up! That new open space within, started to expand and govern the way I related to the outside world, dictating some maybe bizarre choices, when seen from a logical viewpoint, yet feeling so right that I just couldn't shake the feeling that I was being lived through by a higher force, which had my best intentions in mind; without any help from my logical brain. In fact, as I let go of the need to use my ego to control things, paradoxally, I was introduced to an easier living, and more joyful look at the connections that my spirit was making with my surroundings. Events that seemed like coincidence, which he explains about in his other book, "Inspiration...Your True Calling", were guiding mydecisions more and more, and the more I let go of the attatchment of the outcome, while enjoying the moment, the lessI had to struggle to manifest my desires into reality. They seemed to magically create themselves in the wake of an attitude of gratitude and the knowledge that the universe would supplyme with all that I needed, as long asI believed it to be so! If you read anyone's views on spirituality, or just need some inspiration to figure out where you need to go in life, don't pass upthis opportunick byDr. Dyer'sincredible book, "The Power of Intention". You'll see that even though the author is well-off; he wasn't always that way, and had to go through many trials to get to where he is, today. He lets you know that even though you face these challenges; they are there to help you grow and obtain enlightenment. What I like best about his books is that they convey a refreshing take on the dogma that has been shoved down the throats of those who are simply trying to know their true selves and who seek to have a relationship with their creator that isn't dictated by all kinds of rules and regulations. You, too, after reading just a little of, "The Power of Intention", will experience a freedom and inner knowledge that you were created perfect and your desires are the push from the unseen hand of that which connects us all!
