Screwtape Letters
(C.S. Lewis)

Publicidade
C.S. Lewis is most known for his series of children's books The Chronicles of Narnia, but Lewis was prolific in many genres of fiction, philosophy, social commentary, literary studies, poetry and theology. Another of his more famous pieces of fiction is Screwtape's Letters where the reader gets insight into the mind of Uncle Screwtape the mentoring demon of his young apprenticed nephew Wormwood. Wormwood is in charge of his patient whichhe tries to get out of the grip of the enemies hands with the help of Uncle Screwtape.

Each chapter is a letter dedicated to this resolve and are the words of advise from Uncle Screwtape himself. He alters each letter to the results of the last or to counter the effect of the enemy. This takes place during a war where the war is just as much a threat to the works of Wormwood and uncle Screwtape as it is mortally harmful to their patient.

This story is masterfully done by Lewis as it will leave you question the motives of the unseen around you. I wouldn't read it before bed!
