Atlas Shrugged
(Ayn Rand)

Publicidade
She has done it again!! For all those ?Fountain Head? fans over there, you can?t get anything closer to it than this. Known as the sequel to her famous novel ?Fountain Head?, ?Atlas Shrugged? contains just about every magic that Ayn Rand had woven in her previous book. From Dagny Taggart to James Taggart to John Galt, every character reminds you of the principles she defends. If ?Fountain Head? introduced you to the creators of this planet, ?Atlas Shrugged? made sure you know the fate when they abandon you. Marvelously threaded plot, the story explores the thought process of the Creators and the world surrounding them who won?t offer them the only thing they starve for- Gratitude. She has introduced a brand new heroine (Dagny) who is optimism personified. The novel starts off with a rather grim reality of our crumbling society and Dagny?s struggle to save her railways against all odds. The story henceforth takes you on Dagny?s journey where you celebrate her victories and grieve with her for her losses. What touches you most in the book is the honesty with which Ayn Rand has put forth her philosophy of life. Like in ?Fountain Head?, she has made a clear distinction about the Creators and Parasites of this world and has warned about the dangers that lie ahead of us once the creators desert us. The only thing that went wrong is the extra pinch of fiction Ayn Rand has infused in the story that sometimes seems too fictional to believe. There are some parts in the book where the story has been dragged for no reason. But Ayn Rand has made up for all those pages with the terrific story she has gifted us. All in all, the novel is an absolute unputdownable !
