"fatal Eggs"

Short satiric story of the master of russian satire, Bulhakov. It begins with rather strange discovery - one of the scientists discovers a ray which makes animals mutate. It would be great if that ray was used properly - on hens eggs and similar innocent creatures. But it goes differently and the ray strucks reptile eggs... and here the nightmare begins, death takes the reptiles shape and strides through forests, streets and so on. Situation is scary because not only animals are killing - people in panic also begin to look for the culpables of this situation, and the discoverer himself is killed - by the crowd. Reptiles are slaying more effectively and are resistant to all forms of pressure from the army and government. What is worse they are constantly hungry because they are growing... Panic and fear touches every citizen... And suddenly all the reptiles are dead. From unknown reason... Just like that.
