Leonard Hoffman, a famous businessman who abandoned his brilliant career to become a monk is a monastery, is the main character of this seductive story created by James C. In the beginning, Daily and other five students who participate in the seminar react negatively in face of the new concepts presented by the monk, but later they surrender to the experience. In truth, Hoffman gained fame in the world of business because of his capacity to recover companies in crises, transforming them in examples of success. The monk believes that the foundation of leadership is not power; actually it is authority, conquered with love, dedication and sacrifice. He then says that respect, responsibility and caring for people are indispensable virtues for a great leader. That is, to become a leader, it is necessary that one is open to serve. Throughout the story of these fascinating characters, James C. Hunter presents fundamental concepts for us to improve our capacity for leadership and living amongst others, helping us to become better people and welcoming a path for lasting success for ourselves.
