Asterix is a comic that is read by many people be it old or young, it's a favourite among many! For the introduction, Asterix is a collection of 36 comics that are simply entertaining and full of humour. Each comics has a story that has the gaulish characters Asterix and Obelix who have the passion for adventure and they have the task to fight for their village where gaulish people live with the fear of attack from the Romans. There was a incident where Obelix as a child fell into the magic potion which gave him super human powers! He had the power to fight with anyone with ease! But Asterix had to drink the magic potion if he were to fight with someone. There are many characters in the whole series who are humorous in their own way. Getafix is a druid who prepares the magic potion, Cacofonix is a singer who always irritates his neighbours with his Songs! Vitalstatistix is the chief of the village, Unhygienix is a fishmonger. You can get the introduction of the characters in " Asterix the First Frieze". Each character is bound to make you laugh in some way or the other! This comic is enough to make u understand the difficult times where gaulish people had to face the Romans, but in a much humorous way than serious! Caesar makes his appearance in a few comics where Asterix has one to one conversation with him! I'am sure you won't be satisfied with just one comic book of Asterix so get the whole 36 books!
