SUSTAINABLE TOURISM IN AMAZONIA ATRAI EUROPEANS -- (Proecotur, Jerson Spider) It will be presented two studies on the market of sustainable tourism in the Amazon during a meeting between the team of the Programme for the Development of Ecotourism in Amazonia Legal (Proecotur) and the Technical Group for the Coordination of Ecotourism in the Amazon. In those surveys were analyzed the current conditions of tourism in the region, as well as the characteristics that can be enhanced and improved in the region. According to the Study of Sustainable Tourism Market for Legal Amazonia, only 0.05% of foreign tourists travel to the Amazon, but the region has the potential to attract up to 3 million visitors. The aim of sustainable tourism in the campaign are American tourists, German, French, Chinese and Japanese, because it was detected that the international market is more interested in the region. Another conclusion was that trips that include addition of the visit the Amazon, other regions of the country and Latin America can attract more interested. Also according to the study, are not required large investments in works, but good strategies for transport, infrastructure and provision of services and products, always taking into account the quality and environmental issues. The Diagnosis Bid Tourist Effective Potential and the Amazon Region is the study of the current situation in the region, providing data on the available infrastructure in place, the supply and the conditions presented today. Another function was detecting the main attractions and potentials, in addition to the weaknesses. Purpose - The studies prior to drafting the Development Strategy of Sustainable Tourism for the Legal Amazonia, which will be responsible for guiding investments of the ministries of Tourism and Environment and governments in the region. The main goal is that the Amazon is alternative to sustainable development in the region, it has called attention of the Europeans.
