The Five People You Meet In Heaven
(Mitch Albom)
A story of an ordinary person called Eddy who worked at Ruby pier. He lives a simple life and dies while trying to save a life at the pier and goes to heaven. Thereafter the story progresses like rapidly changing scenes in a dream. The philosophy of life expressed in the book is commendable. Many events in our life go unnoticed by us but may have a significant consequence. We may influence somebody?s life with a deciding moment. If only we could have all our doubts cleared at some point of life or soon after as it happened with Eddy. All these five people significantly influenced his life directly or indirectly. It is like an audit of life events, a self assessment which should happen at any time of our life. If so then we can reset our life and alter course for the good. It?s not about an ideal life lived but it definitely conveys that god almighty balances it out for us. If we are good to others, we will certainly live and die fully content. It?s an excellent reading and contains fewer pages. A message conveyed in lesser words but reaches deep into the crevices of mind.
