Structure 1.Communication Unit This is the hub of activities in PR Deptt. of every organisation. All the writing related jobs-news items, articles, press-notes, documentary scripts, goodwill messages, speech drafts etc. are done by the Communication Unit Personnel. To perform its functions effectively it needs to be equipped with latest gizmos viz. Scanner, modems, photocopier, computers, teleprinters and fax machines. 2.Photography Unit This carries out the most visible activity of PR Department. Both Still & Video Photography comes under the scope of this unit. It is manned by proficient photographers. This Unit works in tandem with Communication Unit. Archives of old photographs and video films facilitate documentation of significant moments in the history of the organisation. The Unit provides visual inputs for house magazine, audio-visual programmes, media releases, presentations and statutory documentation. \n3.Resource Centre\nIt is variously known as Information Centre or Documentation Centre in different organisations. The Centre is usually the first place one turns to, for any information about the organisation. Clipping Service, compilation of old issues of house magazine and library facility are some of the features of a typical resource centre.\n\n4.Audio-Visual Unit\nIt produces news-reels, product-films, interviews and talks and programmes highlighting employees and other stakeholders.
