Reasonings
(Melanie Engels)
?An unexamined life is not worth living,? and ?All learning is really just recollection?, are wise words attributed to Socrates. This would agree with the verse at Ecclesiastes 1:9, ?What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the Sun.? For the sake of our recollection I have written the book ?The Cosmic Hierarchy and Its Endless Diversity?, by Melanie Engels, available from Amazon.com in which I bring together ideas of scientific observations, biblical correlations, and philosophical knowledge that have not been advanced to date. At Isaiah 29:14 KJV this significant warning is given because it alerts us that ultimate truth cannot come from those we think of as most suitable, i.e. professors, scientists, politicians, etc: ?Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.? This is very remarkable that God does not give people we think most appropriate his approval, i.e. professors, the Pope, renown scientists, or other celebrities, but hides the ultimate knowledge of him, God, from those ? in spite of their academic learning. The reason for it is that the wise and prudent people are still in their sins and though they are often well-off, smart and educated, according to Mark 4:12 KJV, ?That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand;? but when they give up their sins they?ll be forgiven and they shall realize the truth. Again and again this idea is put forward in the Bible as we learn at Matthew 11:25 KJV, ?I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.? In this verse ?babes? is a figurative speech meaning the ordinary individual without title or degree, but the unspoiled and pure would be chosen to expose the mysteries of God. Christ admonished people for their unrepentant behaviour, but he expressed his solace knowing that only ?babes? were privileged to understand God?s ways. It is said only virtue brings unity. Hence, virtue opens eyes and ears to reality. The prudent and wise people as mentioned above include the intelligent and well-educated as well as religious scholars, but those are not considered the ?babes?. Of them it is said at 1Timothy 2:7 it says, ?Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.? These are biblical quotes, not my sayings; therefore, I felt these verses were making important statements in that we ought to direct our attention to the more meek and humble that live by what they preach unlike the hypocrites who say one thing and then do the exact opposite, of which there are many. For above reasons, many biblical and scientific announcements that have been accepted by the populace as truth (because they were conveyed by authority figures or the government) will eventually be revised because the falsehood eventually will leak out and be revealed. For this reason whistle-blowers ought to be encouraged to reveal any irregularities in their workplace especially when it affects the ordinary man. It must be remembered that unscrupulous men, priests, rulers, and artists have propagated malicious errors in the past, with no regard for truth by imposing false reasoning upon men whom they in some manner wished to use or control to their own advantage. Adolf Hitler is a good example. The scheming of men by use of their force and authority continued and their errors were no different than the errors established from previous deceivers. However, the time will come when the general public will no longer support or accept any questionable declarations by the government or the scientific establishments. This direction is being observed already. For this reason these warning words at Matthews 13:22 are given: ?For falsechrists and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." When people use their reasoning mind they will reject all that which is oppressive, and they won?t be quite so gullible even when it comes from ?authority? figures. Though trust we must it's our duty to inform ourselves better, do some reality checking from various sources to make 'informed' decisions.
