?Three musketeers?0f Aleksander Duma- father (first and brightest part of trilogy about musketeers]) -is the always young adventure story, on which already more than one-and-a-half centuries of the schoolboy generations become acquainted with one of the most dramatic epochs of French history - with time of the administration of Ludovik XIII (1610-1643), when the real and in practice non confined authority in France belonged to cardinal Richelieu (from 1624 - chief minister, died in 1642). The action of novel begins in 1625, from the fact that the poor, but excessively arrogant gaskonien noble man d'Artanjan leaves for Paris with the recommending letter from the father to his old friend de Traevil - captain of royal musketeers. However, during the first day in Paris the fate encountered young adventurer with three friends, that hide one?s authentic names and titles under those invented - Atos, Portos and Aramis. After contriving to prove to be challenged to duel, independent of each other, by all three, d'Artanjan assigns for it one and the same place and time with the difference fourth of hour , being confident, that before the third duel will be, he in any event is not alive. But fate manages in such a way that d'Artanjan has not to fight three musketeers, but on one side with them - against the cardinal guardsmens, who have to be themselves on the spot of duel into the most inappropriate time and attempt to stir up the duel, which was at that time forbidden by the special edict of cardinal Richelieu. Since then, d'Artanjan, Atos, Portos and Aramis become inseparable. This turn of events predetermines all further adventures of d'Artanjan and his new frends: it occurs they will draw up in the complex court intrigues: to become the agent of queen Anna intrigues, which builds cardinal himself. On the commission of the queen d'Artanjan with his three new friends must bring from London pendants, gift of king, considerate presented by queen to the bitten enemy of cardinal Richelieu - to lord Bekinghem. After learning about the commission of queen, cardinal sends after musketeers his agent - lady Winther, the former wife of earl de La Fer (the very same- Atos). In spite of all efforts, lady Winther can?t to prevent to carry out an order, but because of hers intrigues perishes the bride of d'Artanjan - Constance de Bonasje. After overtaking lady Winther into hers refuge, four friends, and also lord Winther, the former husband as Atos, who did not forgive to her poisoning their brother and instigation to the murder of his friend, lord Bekinghem, and hangman, hu takes vengeance on lady Winther for seducing and death of his own brother, they sentence lady Winther to death; hangman chops off hers head . However, this law court and this execution do not remain without the consequences for all participants: the tireless attempts of the son of lady Winther, Mordaunt, to take vengeance for the mothers death compose one of the basic topical lines of the second book of trilogy - ?Twenty years later?.
