Nora Roberts writing as J. D. Robb has written a delightful series of books known as the In Death series. This is the 17th book in the series and is just as fresh and new as her first, Naked in Death. Lieutenant Eve Dallas, the main character and homicide detective, along with her mysterious husband, Roarke investigate a computer virus that seemingly spreads from computer to man. Peabody faces fear with her lover McNabb being in the way of a stun blast and faces possible paralyzation. Roarke and Dallas explore their second year in marriage and realize that the near death experiences and danger that they are in provide them with a closer more intimate bond than either thought possible. Roberts has done a fantastic job of keeping a very long series just as interesting as the first book. Purity in Death features all the same lovable characters and on-the-edge suspense that we've come to expect from her other books.
