One of the most special books given by the XX century. The work composed of 16 tales, from them, onñly one was written (invented) by the author and it does not surprise that these only story in the book is one of the most famous ones- Man of the pink corner. Enough to say that it was used by filmmakers. The rest confirms the former words and answers why this book is so special. The 15 left over stories had been written or better said transformed by the author, who took different stories of different books and changed them at his will. The stories are about the most guilty murderers of the world history, world known burglars but not so practically known, till the most hidden people of mankind history, where the author udes parts written in a magic way, opening the doors to Marquez, Rulfo and others who made their styles perfect until the most known and practiced style mainly in LatinAmerica: the magic realism. This infamies found in the first part of the book suply tales taken from The One Thousand and One Nights, in the second part called Etcetera. In this stories, Jorge Luis Borges took the most important and astonishing that this book that tought us to read could offer. It is a shame that when Borges was writting this book, dared to write only one tale, from which he also had doubts. There begun the great career of the most faous writer of Argentina.
