The Woman Of Dreams
(Sara Sefchovich)

Publicidade
This is a very interesting feminist literature. A novel which talks about the life of an ordinary housewife, dedicated to her home and the care of her family: her husband, son and daughter. We first see Ana (main character) as another object in the house. She is not respected by her children or her spouse. It is through literature that she achieves a very important spiritual liberty. She starts reading novels where women of different times are faced with an adverse and aggressive world, due to male imposition. Ana is the presenter of reality to thousands of women around the world. What is interesting is that Ana recreates those different worlds in her own house, which makes her family think she has gone mad. But Ana is not crazy, she is healing, being liberated, trying to identify herself as a woman, as a person, as a human being with ideas and her own feelings. Ana reaches her spiritual prime needed to start doing what she likes and she accomplishes, through reading, being a woman in her own way, in and of herself
