Lightening Strikes
(VIRGINIA ANDREWS)

Publicidade
Lightening strikes is a compelling story from the Virginia Andrews collection. Rain Arnold was born out of wedlock and then given to a family to be looked after by the family of her mother.. She grew up with a mother who loved her, a brother that had fallen in love with her and sister that passed away when she was a teen.

When the mother she grew up with dies she lives with her real grandmother that knows the whole story and to whom her foster mother had contacted. Rain acts in a play at her local school and gets recognized with real talent so then passes to England to live with her biological aunty and uncle who accepts that she is a charity case that the grandmother is sponsoring, in exchange for board Rain is to do household chores and also attends a high class acting school where she becomes popular.

There are weird footsteps in the night at the place that Rain lodges and there is high pitched laughter from a small child. Rain does not understand what is going on her aunty and uncle did have a child but she passed away when she was seven.

When Rain sees a light on in the outside house she realises that all is not well. A maid is in a bed dressed as a little girl and her Uncle is reading the maid a childrens story whilst the maid sucks on a lollipop. Then Rain is asked to do the same thing.

This is an compelling story as are all virginia andrews collection and once you begin to read them you don't want to put them down. Tissues may be needed as is a nice cup of coffee. These are more of a woman's book although I don't want to sound to sexist.
