Pursuit

Last time I went on holiday it was to San Francisco California USA and I had a great weekend seeing the sights and sounds of San Francisco and the surrounding area in that state. It reminded me of other similar holidays and I found a book about adventure activities and holidays which caught my attention. Anything you fancy - well they say a little of what you fancy does you good ... Surfing: Sailing: Caving: Microlighting: Mountain Biking: Off Roading: Flying: Paragliding: Canoeing: Rafting: Jet Skiing: Action Breaks: Windsurfing: Skiing: Parachuting: Hang Gliding: Mountaineering: Waterskiing: Snowboarding ... that's another tall order and we did a little of this on Mont Blanc Ski-Slopes - I had just ski-ed down the mountain slopes stopping off at the Cafe Restaurant somewhere in the middle where we had a delightful break and enjoyed the freshness of this alpine air and of course a 3 course Lunch at a wonderful French location. My party decided that upon arrival at the bottom, we could either sit all day and chat or they could do some snow boarding - the upshot was they went snowboarding all day and I sat and relaxed and watched this activity - it seemed a lot of fun at the time and is intended for the very young as were the members of my party. We all enjoyed the trip enormously. Moving on rather more quickly to deep sea diving - my colleague in Turkey - too, regaled me with stories of his adventures underwater - he is a deep sea diver - and he often went deep sea diving off the Turkish coast. I mentioned to him over a cup of Turkish coffee that I had inadvertently done a bit of that myself quite by chance though I am not an expert in deep sea diving but in Literature! I swam out to sea between the adjoining sea dividing Turkey and Greece and touched the bottom and swam back - it is a mixed sense of both excitement and real terror for me to remind him. "AH": he replied: "Now you know why I go diving in that stretch of water - its to see where you are ... as we both teach the same class" ... truly truly your friend .... Stella: Happy reading and take care in pursuing your favourite activities - always play safe rather than sorry!
