We believed that all those who read and had fun with the wonderful book, A hundred Years of
Solitude, of Gabriel Garcia Marques, they will also delight with the fantastic
history of the city of Antares in the boundaries of Rio Grande do Sul, border
with Argentina. The fictitious provincial city serves as scenery of events worthy of Jorge Luís
Borges magic realism. There, on December 13, 1963, seven unburied deceased get up of their coffins and
they go to the central square, summoning a meeting of the authorities and people
in general. The purpose of so it finds strange summons is the request of a right that fits

besides the revelation of the betrayals and hidden romances of men and women of moral standars of the high society antarense. A faithful portray of the years that preceded the military blow of April of
1964, this book stays actual exhibiting, once again, the abyss of the
social differences in Brazil and the chronic corruption of the dominant class.
