THE ENCHANTED DOLL
Mollie had a little doll named Angela. She loved that doll so much that she always wished that she could walk and talk. One day Mollie went to the pixies forest, where she heard pixies stay, with her doll. She found a little pram just the size for her doll. Unable to contain the curiosity she put her doll in that beautiful pram and wheeled her doll for some time. She heard the sound of rabbit and went to have a look at it. Meanwhile, the pram started moving along with the doll and disappeared.
Mollie started crying and a pixie came and asked her not to make her door damp by her crying. She was surprised to see a pixie smaller than herself. After knowing the reason for her crying Pixie guided her way to Mother Dimity, living in a shoe who had taken her doll.
As per the instructions from the pixie Mollie knocked six times on the big oak tree. It opened and there were steps leading to the roots of the tree. She climbed down the steps and found wide passages with lots of houses with strange names. A pixie came out of the house and when she asked the route to the river he gave funny directions. She reached the river bank. A rabbit with a collar and tie issued a ticket to Mollie. She selected a blue boat with golden stars. The boats did not need any oars to go. She saw the old man growing the toadstools and asked the boat to stop. She found out that mother Dimity?s shoe house was on a hill and went there.
Pixie children informed her about her doll as a little baby who is sick and can not talk or walk. Mollie told them that a doll can not walk or talk. But Mother Dimity gave her some medicine which gave life to her doll. The doll started to talk and walk. Mollie reached her house by the short cut shown by mother Dimity. But no one except Mollie knows that doll has life. She knows that no one can believe it to be true.
