Ruth

If one would read the book of Ruth ,you would see that love can concour many obsticals in our lifes today.Ruth loved her mother in law with a special love that is very hard to find. .It is this generations belief that one's mother in law is the wicked witch not to be liked much less loved. After Ruths husband died Naomi tryed to send her back to her people,but Ruth would not go.She made the commitment of everlasting love to her mother in law"weather thou goest I will go, they people shall be my people, weather thou lodgest I will lodge".Beautiful words that are spoken at weddings today but with a loss of the true meaning.Ruth made sure that when she took a husband her mother in law was fully provided for .She gave birth to a son and lovingly placed him into Naomi's arms.Because of Ruths love God allowed her to concieve a child with Boaz and they called him Obed who was the father of Jesse the father of David.One never knows the seeds we plant on this earth where our lintage will go .the future is written by God ,held in his hands.Ruth gave Naomi everthing she had to give and in doing so she restored Naomi's life. Ruth gave her something to live for after so much loss.What could we do today to give some one back the life they have lost?Would we even care much less go out of our way for our elders.How did we get to the point where there lives have lost there value?When life deals bitterly with us , it is only then that we realise what our parents went through.It is time for the baby boomers to take a look at our selves, we are becomming the elderly.The Bible says You will reep what you sew.We can all only hope we sewed enough love to get us through.
