I, Robot
(Isaac Asimov)

Publicidade
I read the book after having seen the film and I have to say that once again, as with all books and films that I have seen, the book was a better read than the movie a view.
It is a fantasic futuristic murder mystery and is truely thrilling. Isaac Asimov is a fantastic writer and the quality of writing throughout the book is exceptional. Throughout the whole book, despite having seen the movie and knowing the outcome, I was gripped and enthralled throughout due to the exceptional quality of the writing.
A police officer sent in to investigate when the head of the World's largest robotics factory is found dead and the prime suspect is an android. In the year 2035, robots are an everyday household item, and everyone trusts them, except one, slightly paranoid detective. Investigating what he alone believes is a crime perpetrated by a robot. The case leads him to discover a far more frightening threat to the human race.
The book itself was a totally different genre from that of the one I would normal choose to read, but having seen the movie I was somewhat interested in reading the novel and found it to be a leader in its genre. The detailing of what we do not know is truely fasinating and I applaude Asimov for his pure imaginational skills and fabulous use of descriptive text.
A fabulous read and highly recommended, whatever your preference in genre.
