The Shrimad Bhagwatam is one of the oldest Hindu scriptures penned by Sage Shri Vysa deva to bring to the world that happiness, that love, that essence that is God. People have read Holy books, each one related to their respective faiths and yet we continue to do wrong, evil ceases to go away, its power ever increasing because of the vile acts of the so called sinners. The allure of reaching heaven by doing pious deeds and the fear of reaching hell by performing evil acts, none of this could influence the minds of human beings, the existing scriptures could scare, could lure but failed when it came to love for God. After all what is it that makes the world go round, what makes us do what we detest, so willingly, love, yes thats what it is. We often look back at acts of love that we indulged in when we were young, like waiting all night on the road, staring at the window of the house of one's beloved for that one glance, that one look that made the whole effort worth it, and we ask ourselves now, "Was I mad?" Madness, thats what love is. In short we are programmed to do the impossible if our loved one so desires. Then the question is "Are we in love with God?". If the answer is casually affirmative, then we have to know whether he is happy with our acts. "Do we know that?" We would if we knew what he liked or disliked, if we knew him, his inherent nature. We have to first know somebody, discover them, before we decide whether or not we love them. We have just accepted the concept of God without knowing him, fearing the worst if we disbelive. That is simply beacuse it was thrust upon us, that it was the right and probably the only thing to do, We were never given the right to decide, to discover to explore, to fathom, to comprehend what we placing our trust in. "The Shrimad Bhagwat" does all this for us and more, makes us fall in love with God, with Lord Shree Krishna. I am not talking about a Book because the Shrimad Bhagwatam is Lord Shree Krishna himself. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SCRIPTURE THAT IS BEING WRITTEN ABOUT IS A HOLY BOOK OF VAISHNAVITES ( BELIEVERS OF LORD SHREE KRISHNA) THERE IS NO OFFENCE INDICATED TO MY FRIENDS BELONGING TO OTHER RELIGIONS OR FAITHS, DUE RESPECT TO ALL COMMUNITIES.
