Book Esther Theme ? Bible

Esther the niece of Mordecai, during the days of Ahaseurus, was a beauty queen of her times.

She won the Miss Persia title and was prompted by Mordecai to be selected as the King?s wife replacing Queen Vashti.

Esther was an orphan by birth and seems to be meek and timid. Even as she was selected to be the King?s wife and resided in the chamberlains of the palace, Esther found favor with the King?s attendants.

Now Mordecai had a set plan with him to bring deliverance to the people of Israel. The Israelites were under the captivity of the Babylonians. The Chaldees were privileged to torture the Hebrews, considered to be one of the most feared tribes on the face of the earth.

Now when Mordecai refused to salute Haman, there was a plot schemed against Mordecai. Haman arranged for Mordecai's death. Morecai however, who trusted in the living and the ONLY God, instructed Esther to meet the King and avert the decree passed against the Israelites.

Now Esther faced one of the most difficult times of her life. Under tremendous pressure, Esther cried to Mordecai and explained her inability to do so. She explained the King?s rule of women refraining from the Majesty?s presence during the customary days.

But Mordecai encouraged her and reminded her that if Esther failed to strive for God, then God Almighty would find someone else for the same assignment. God is never in shortage of resources, to accomplish His plans.

Esther obeyed Mordecai and requested the land to fast and pray for her. Esther found favor in the sight of the King. God created a soft corner for Esther in the King?s heart. Now the King not only listened to Esther but also authorized Esther to decide the destiny of her enemies. King Ahaseurus encouraged Esther to stop the decree against her people, the Israelites and write a new decree against Haman the enemy of Israel.

Such is the promise of our God the Father who encourages us to obey Him; for our own good. Our Heavenly Father encourages us to give, so that we may be prosperous and live a bountiful life.
