Eldest
(Christopher Paolini)

Publicidade
After Christopher's dramatic work from Eragon, which is now turning into a fabulous movie. Christopher has also written a book called 'Eldest'. Eldest is the next step of Eragon and should not be missed. Eldest has been a big hit especially in the US area, nearly topping the scales with the Harry Potter books.

People have even said that 'Eldest' has been even more popular than the first book 'Eragon'. With every passing page the book shows a vast amount of growing maturity and skill on the part of Christopher Paolini. If you love the tradition of the classic heroic quest of fantasy, with a predictable cast of dwarves, elves, and dragons and even including some imaginatively creepy creatures of evil, this is the book for you.

The land of Alagaesia still suffers under the Empire of the wicked Galbatorix, while Eragon and his dragon Saphira - the last of the riders are the only hope for this imaginary world. Although, Eragon is only young and he has much to learn, when he is sent off to the elven forest city of Ellesmera, where he and Saphira are tutored in magic, battle skills and even the ancient language by a very wise old man. But who is he? With the thump? thump? thump? sound rushing through the forest an unpredictable sight beholds in front of Eragon. What wise powers stand before him?

Meanwhile, back at Carvahall, Eragon's home, his cousin Roran has become the target of a siege by the hideous Ra'zac and he must lead the villagers on a desperate escape over the mountains. He is faced with so many responsibilities and no one to turn to. Although, while Roran is on his own quest Eragon learns a dark secret about his own parentage. Who are his real parents? He must commit himself to saving his people in order to save his own life.

Read the magnificent first book 'Eragon' then read the book 'Eldest'. Let Christopher's writing tell you each individual story of so many characters and places, with a map to help your imagination and even a Language Guide. This is a wonderful book for readers of ages 12 and up. Once you pick up this book you wont be able to put it down. You will be dreaming the characters and even walking them once you discover this famous book. Enjoy it and savour it and let Christopher make your imagination soar with every word. There is no boundaries within such pages.
