The Da Vinci Code
(Dan Brown)

Publicidade
The Da Vinci Code, I first heard of it was when I found a translated book(in Portuguese) by Simon Cox explaining the mystery behind the Da Vinci Code. When I had finished reading this book I was very intrigued to read the actual book. I finally was able to locate the book in English and began reading. I was unable to put it down, even blowing off friends so as to be able to finish reading it.

This book is all about mystery, murder, intrigue , with a real conundrum thrown in just to complicate matters. It?s fast paced, so it keeps you attention and draws you in to the book. It introduced me to things that I had heard about but never thought through. I loved the way that Dan Brown made me think about all that we take for granted. It got me thinking about how much people believed what they read in the Bible and how it could be twisted to fit someone?s interpretation of it. We also tend to forget that the bible was written by man, and that man has a tendency to use only what will give him the best results. Who is to say that there isn't another version to Jesus Christ's life and more to it than what is in the bible? The cause on effect of reading this book was that I became interested in finding out more about the Priory of Sion, Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo and Da Vinci.
